Floorjack Auto Repair is on N. Black Canyon Hwy in Deer Valley, off I-17 near Happy Valley Road, and an oil change here costs about what you expect to pay for one. The difference is who is under the car while it is up. A GM-certified shop does the work, and the shop that would have to fix whatever it misses is the one doing the looking.
Most Deer Valley driving is severe service
Open the maintenance section of your owner’s manual and you will find two schedules: a normal one and a severe one. Nearly everyone assumes the normal column is theirs, because their driving feels ordinary. Read what puts a vehicle in the severe column and Deer Valley ordinary lands there: repeated trips of only a few miles, long idling, sustained heat, dust and gravel roads, and towing.
That is the errand loop up here. Happy Valley Towne Center, a stop at The Shops at Norterra, a run down Deer Valley Road and back, none of it long enough for the oil to reach full temperature and cook off the moisture and fuel that collect in it. Add a Phoenix summer, the dust that blows off the desert and every graded lot along the I-17 frontage, and a trailer on the back a few weekends a year, and a vehicle qualifies on four counts at once.
Nobody at a quick lube reads that column with you. Which schedule your vehicle is actually on is the first thing we want to know, and it changes what we tell you about the next visit.
The Complete Care synthetic package
Our oil service is a package rather than a drain and fill, and it is currently $20 off. It covers:
- Full synthetic oil, up to 5 quarts.
- A new oil filter.
- A tire rotation on the same visit.
- A multi-point inspection of belts, hoses, and fluids.
- A top-off of your coolant and washer fluid.
The rotation and the inspection are in the package price rather than offered to you at the counter afterward. Rotating tires on schedule is how you get the tread you paid for, and on a vehicle doing short heat-soaked trips, the inspection is what catches the next thing.
What we actually look at while it is up
The tires come off for the rotation, so the brakes are in plain sight and we look at pad thickness and rotor condition while we are there. Uneven tread wear tells us about alignment and suspension. Belts and hoses get checked because Arizona heat is what ages them, and so do the battery, the air filter that Valley dust loads up faster than the manual assumes, and the transmission and differential fluid on anything that tows.
Then we tell you what we found, including the parts of it that can wait. Nothing on that list has to be sold to you today for the visit to have been worth our time. We would rather you come back for the brake job in October and keep coming back after that.

You do not need an appointment. Walk-ins get worked in as bays open up, so if you are already out on the errand loop, pull into the frontage and we will take a look. Booking online holds time for you, which is worth doing if you want the rotation and the inspection done on the same visit. Either way you get the price before we start.
